Introduction: Students explore a dark access tunnel which is the subject of an Urban Legend associated with the school — they are terrified by what they find, a haunting cloaked figure walking towards them.

At an unnamed school* in North Birmingham, a strange access tunnel within the school has been the subject of many rumours over the years. Doors opening into the access tunnel are curiously situated within one of the classrooms, a couple feet off the ground. Over the years, several staff and students have reported hearing unexplainable sounds and doors creaking open by themselves. A couple of brave students decided to investigate the rumours and capture what they could on camera. Talking of their motivation for undertaking this nerve shattering task, they said, “We heard that there is a ghost living in the big, dark cupboard in the classroom”, and so they decided to explore it. After they filmed it.

You can witness for yourselves what the students captured on camera, it’s chilling footage. These terrified students submitted their footage to UnsolvedWM and shared what they felt during the filming, CRob says, “When we first went in the room, it did feel quite cold.” JacMarr continues, “Yeah, it felt cold and like there was very gentle cold breeze in the room coming from the doors… I felt like I was being drawn to open the doors.” CRob describes the moment when they finally opened the doors and saw something, “When I opened the cupboard, my heart just stopped so I slammed the door shut, when I opened the door again and seen (sic) that the ghost was still there, I panicked and ran.”

These students believe they saw a ghost and captured it on camera. What do you think? If you know this access tunnel and have any further evidence that can corroborate or discredit this evidence, we appeal to you to get in touch with UnsolvedWM. Remember, we’re always looking for contributions so if you’ve captured anything strange, report it to UnsolvedWM.
